If you are using Internet Explorer, you are not taking full advantage
of this web site's
design.
There should be a menu on the right side following your scrolling up
and down on
most of the pages (this one included).
In Internet Explorer, that menu only shows at the top of the page, as
links that don't
follow your scrolling, you thus have to scroll back up the page
to see the different
options on the site.
Why?
Well unfortunately, in their scheme to make more money, Micro$oft
decided not to
include full support of the CSS code (provided by the w3
consortium) into their web
browser, thus forcing web designers to use
their proprietary software which must be
paid for.
Ironically, the mac version of Internet Explorer 5 is more compatible
with CSS then it's
Windows counterpart (but not fully). The only reason I could fathom
would be because
Apple includes a web browser with their
operating
system that fully supports CSS (Safari),
and thus to remain
competitive, Micro$oft was forced to support it. Unfortunately, that
does not hold true for Windows.
There is a solution to this problem; the following web browsers provide
good to great
support of CSS and are FREE!
-Firefox (available for
windows, mac, *nix) it also provides huge
customizable options
-Netscape (basically the same as
firefox but with email/web
authoring/address book included
in the software)
-Safari (available for mac users only)
-Opera (free and crossplatform,
like the mozilla suite)
It is your choice to use one browser or an other, but know that
Internet Explorer is
not secure, not free, and not fun!
Thus being said, I hope you all understand my choice in not rewriting
my entire website
to fit just one web browser's evil demands.
Enjoye your spidering.
