This page is all about Debian Sid 2.6.9 on AMD64.
Bugs:
So
far, not
many, and some of these could possibly not be regarded as bugs
by those who know
better.
1. Sound with Alsa:
Sound works, but has a few annoyances at this point.
- Alsa not configured at boot time.
Reproducibility: every time.
Temporary Fix: run alsaconf.
Problems caused by Fix: alsaconf somehow unloads module bttw0.
I suspect I just need to get support
directly into
kernel, instead of running it
as module.
- Alsa output comes from mic jack.
Reproducitility: everytime.
Seems like Alsa is setup like that by default, but man, how obnoxious.
2. Video capture
- when I run alsaconf, it kills bttv0, which is linked to /dev/video0.
Reproducibility: everytime.
Temporary Fix: modprobe bttv when needed (in my case for xawtv)
-when trying to capture via firewire using dvgrab, it (dvgrab) segfaults.
Reproducibility: everytime.
Fix: None
Note:
happens
with both latest apt file and when compiled with source from
dvgrab site.
